Nesa Amamoo regularly counsels on private equity, corporate real estate and M&A transactions, as well as providing distressed and strategic advice to large portfolio companies. She is the attorney development partner for Skadden’s real estate practice in New York. Ms. Amamoo is experienced in a wide range of
transactions, including complex infrastructure transaction, joint ventures, and hospitality and gaming transactions. With respect to private equity, she has advised sponsor and investor clients in the formation, operation and capitalization of a broad range of U.S. and offshore real estate private equity fund formations, as well as acquisition and disposition transactions. In the area of real estate finance, she has represented real estate companies and financial institutions and borrowers in the origination and sale of a wide range of debt instruments.
Ms. Amamoo also serves as president of the Skadden Foundation.
In recognition of her work, Ms. Amamoo has been named a Dealmaker of the Year by New York Law Journal and selected for inclusion in Chambers USA. She has been repeatedly chosen as one of Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Dealmakers in America and 500 Leading Real Estate Lawyers. She was also recognized by Crain’s New York Business’ as one of its Notable Real Estate Leaders for 2024, one of its 2022 Notable Women in Law and one of its 2020 Rising Stars in Real Estate: honored as one of Globe St.’s Real Estate Forum’s 2023 Women of Influence and a Real Estate MVP by Law360. She holds a BA in Economics from Brown University, a JD from Harvard Law School and a PPE from the University of Oxford.
