Beth Oliver, DNP, RN, FAAN, is a nationally recognized healthcare executive with over three decades of leadership in clinical excellence, nursing innovation, and strategic operations. Named among Modern Healthcare’s 50 Most Influential Clinical Executives in 2024, Dr. Oliver serves as Senior Vice President of Cardiac Services and Chief Nurse Executive for the Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS), where she leads systemwide efforts to advance patient-centered, evidence-based care across hospital and community settings. In her dual role, Dr. Oliver partners with executive leadership and Chief Nursing Officers to drive strategic priorities, establish performance benchmarks, and align nursing practice with organizational goals. Her leadership has strengthened clinical outcomes, enhanced patient experience, and advanced workforce engagement. A champion of quality and innovation, Dr. Oliver has led multidisciplinary teams to achieve national recognition, including multiple units earning Beacon Awards for Excellence from American Association of Critical-Care Nurses—reflecting a sustained commitment to evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care.

Dr. Oliver’s influence extends beyond the health system. As the first nurse to serve as President of American
Heart Association’s NYC Board of Directors, she expanded access to cardiovascular health education and
community-based programs, contributing to improved population health outcomes and informing public
health initiatives. She was named to Becker’s Hospital Review list of “CNOs to Know” in 2022 and inducted as a Fellow of American Academy of Nursing that year.

Dr. Oliver’s recent honors include the 2025 PACE Changemaker in Healthcare Award and the 2025 Healthcare Leaders of New York Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Award. She also serves as the inaugural Edgar M. Cullman, Sr., Chair of the Department of Nursing at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, advancing nursing science, education, and practice across academic and clinical domains. Through publications, national presentations, and advisory roles, Dr. Oliver drives innovation, elevates the nursing profession, and improves health outcomes for diverse populations.

She holds a Master of Science from Columbia University and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Case Western Reserve University.
