The 2026 Glorney-Raisbeck Lecture and Award

Dr. Valentin Fuster is one of the most distinguished cardiologists of his generation and is the only cardiologist in history to have received the highest research awards from the four major cardiovascular organizations: the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology, and the Interamerican Society of Cardiology.

The Glorney-Raisbeck Award is one of NYAM’s most prestigious endowed honors, presented annually to a clinician or basic scientist in recognition of outstanding contributions to the understanding and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

The first Glorney-Raisbeck Award was presented posthumously in 1988 to Milton J. Raisbeck, MD, an exceptional cardiologist who dedicated his career to the advancement of medical education and research. Since then, the award has honored a distinguished series of leaders in cardiovascular medicine.
