New York, NY (May 14, 2026)—New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) is excited to host this year’s NYC Ophthalmology Residents Research Night. On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m., we will host a tour of our historic library, gather for a poster session, and engage with resident paper presentations. Registration is free of charge and open to all.
This annual event brings together trainees, faculty, clinicians, and researchers from across the greater NYC area. The evening’s purpose is to share new findings, forge future collaborations, and connect with colleagues who are passionate about shaping the future of ophthalmology.
“Our 2026 NYC Ophthalmology Residents Research Night caters to rising stars in ophthalmology, but also to anyone with an interest in eye health,” said Connor Bellis, director of the Fellows program at NYAM. “The Fellows program’s events always strive to weave informative research with feedback and creating new professional connections.”
Additionally, between poster sessions and paper presentations, NYAM will honor Donald D’Amico, MD; chair, department of ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. D’Amico, a NYAM Fellow, is stepping down after two decades of chairmanship at Weill Cornell.
NYAM’s Ophthalmology Section works hard to ensure this annual event is both engaging and educational. Thank you to the organizer’s of our 2026 NYC Ophthalmology Residents Research Night and all who are attending for helping empower healthier, longer lives for all.
