Nikhita T. Miskin, M.P.H., is a public health researcher and strategist committed to strengthening social systems and improving health care for people made vulnerable by inadequate policies. With training and experience in qualitative and quantitative research, policy analysis, and program implementation and evaluation, Nikhita has worked on a range of policy issues related to the Affordable Care Act through a dual focus on the social determinants of health and health insurance access. Nikhita joined NYAM and the Community Partnerships and Policy Solutions Division in December 2022 where she currently works on community-based projects with a focus on healthy aging, youth mentorship, and health disparities.
Before joining NYAM, Nikhita worked as Senior Policy and Research Analyst at the Massachusetts Health Connector, the Commonwealth’s Health Insurance Marketplace. She also worked on the Health Insurance Project at the United Hospital Fund of New York. Nikhita holds an M.P.H. from The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at Dartmouth College and a B.S. in public health from Rutgers University.
