Historical Note

The Clinical Research Society was founded in 1920 by a group of medical associates based in New York. Its aim was to facilitate “fellowship and mutual medical enlightenment.” The Society held regular meetings featuring scientific programs and discussions on various topics, as well as annual dinners and social outings. In 1925, the Society established a scholarship loan fund for students in the medical colleges of Columbia, Cornell, and New York Universities.
