"Join or Die" is a film about why you should join a club — and why the fate of America depends on it. The documentary takes us through the journey of Robert Putnam, whose legendary "Bowling Alone" research into American community decline may hold the answers to our democracy's present crisis. The film includes interviews with prominent figures such as Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy. At this event, we will watch a short clip from the film that will generate a discussion among experts and community leaders about the importance of social connection for advancing health at the local and national levels. Attendees will receive a code to watch the full documentary online after the event.
