Timely Media Discourse – Distinguished journalists Brian Lehrer (NPR), Dhruv Khullar (The New Yorker), and Apoorva Mandavilli (The New York Times) will explore how media shapes population health outcomes. Moderated by New York Academy of Medicine Fellow Harriet A. Washington, author of Medical Apartheid.
Celebrating Excellence – We’ll honor the 2025 recipients of the Academy’s Annual Awards including:
- Smith Medal for Public Health – Dr. Peter Hotez
- Medal for Biomedical Science – Dr. Jennifer Doudna
- Medal for Health Policy – The Honorable Regina Benjamin and Mary Wooley
- Stearns Medal for Clinical Practice – Dr. Timothy Johnson
