Full of practical advice, as well as sections on the laws relating to infectious diseases and first aid, the work is illustrated throughout, and contains a number of advertisements for Izal Solution, a contemporary disinfectant. Chapters include sections on how germs spread, rules for semi- and complete isolation, household hints, and first aid in the home.
