Dr. Fuster is the president of Mount Sinai Fuster Heart Hospital and Physician-in-Chief of The Mount Sinai Hospital. He also serves as the General Director of the National Center for Cardiovascular Investigation in Madrid, Spain. He is established as one of the most revered cardiology experts in the world. He is the only cardiologist to have received the highest research honors from the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, and Interamerican Society of Cardiology.

“We’re grateful for Dr. Fuster’s contributions to the cardiology field. No one is more deserving of the 2026 Glorney-Raisbeck Award,” said Connor Bellis, director of the Fellows program at NYAM. “We invite our community to come attend his award ceremony on June 1. It’s not every day you can hear from and interact with a titan in their field who has published over 1,000 papers and been given honorary doctorate degrees from 33 universities.”

The Glorney-Raisbeck Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the understanding and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Over the years, it has celebrated a remarkable group of leaders whose work has shaped the field and improved patient care worldwide.

Dr. Fuster is one such medical pioneer whose work is instrumental in shaping our future cardiovascular health progress. We hope you will join us in honoring his efforts to empower healthier, longer lives for all.
