Autism Through the Looking Glass, A Brock Lecture with Dr. Susan Hyman

Over the past year there has been controversy and proposed reversals in the interpretation of many aspects of the science around Autism. This talk will examine the etymology of Autism (what it is, and is not), review the reasons for the increase in the reported prevalence of Autism, and discuss what is known- and not known- about the etiologies of Autism. Following the lecture there will be an opportunity for the audience to ask an expert panel made up of the speaker, a local Developmental Expert, a psychiatrist who specializes in Autism, and a Primary Care Provider experienced in issues related to vaccination hesitancy.
