A new report, the latest in the "City Voices: New Yorkers on Health" series, underscores the critical importance of healthy relationships for older adults and explores the struggles of aging in the city. The report is the result of an extensive community needs assesment comprised of surveys and focus groups conducted in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx with residents ranging in age from 65 to 102, in 10 languages. In addition to commentary from advocates and experts that serve the city's older population, the report includes personal narratives from older residents about the challenges they face each day.
