While 2020 has been a whirlwind of uncertainty, one unwavering constant we have all relied on is the dedication and leadership of so many frontline workers to keep New Yorkers healthy. At this year’s virtual Annual Meeting on November 12, we inducted and celebrated our latest class of Fellows and Members and paid tribute to those who have helped to keep us healthy. We also presented the 2020 Stephen Smith Medal for Distinguished Contributions in Public Health to New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo for his leadership of the state during the COVID-19 pandemic.
