Biographical Note

Biographical Statement

Dr. Braun was born in Hungary in 1879. He attended the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University (class of 1902) and specialized in Otolaryngology. A gifted portrait painter, he was one of the founders and past officers of the New York Physicians Art Club. He authored Sinus Thrombophlebitis (1928), as well as Cerebellar Abscess (1916) and The Labyrinth (c1913), both coauthored with Isidore Friesner.

The collection includes books, correspondence, photographs, reproductions of art work, passport, medals, and a ms. notebook, all having belonged to Dr. Braun.
