Designing a Strong and Healthy New York (DASH–NY) is a multisectorial coalition of 100 community and advocacy organizations working together to improve health for New Yorkers across the state. DASH-NY activities engage multiple state and community sectors in advancing a health-in-all policies approach to preventing chronic disease and reducing health disparities. The Academy convenes and provides policy analysis for the DASH-NY coalition and offers community leaders training materials and technical assistance on how to make policy, systems, and environmental changes that will lead to communities where opportunities for healthy eating, active living, and access to preventive health care services are available to everyone.
