HD4NYC provides early-career investigators an opportunity to collaborate with peers and mentors from across the Health Department, NYAM, and academic institutions.
HD4NYC investigators and mentors represent eleven institutions across the New York metro region and five of the seven programmatic divisions across the Health Department. HD4NYC investigators bring diverse disciplines and expertise to these collaborations, including medicine, social epidemiology, psychology, engineering, machine learning, agent-based modeling, qualitative methods, and applied public health.
Institutions represented in HD4NYC include:
- Albert Einstein College of Medicine
- Columbia University
- Mailman School of Public Health
- Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons
- CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy
- Elmhurst Hospital
- Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
- Long Island University School of Business
- Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
- Rutgers University School of Public Health
- SUNY Downstate School of Public Health
- Weill Cornell Medical College
HD4NYC investigators also connect with stakeholders in NYC government agencies, community-based organizations, and advocacy groups throughout the research process. Stakeholder input improves the policy- and community-relevance and impact of the research.
