The New York Academy of Medicine, in partnership with the Community Food Funders, is hosting Partners in Health: Community Food Programs and Hospital Partnerships in New York, a convening on May 15, 2017. The aim of this event is to create a forum for hospitals/health systems and community-based organizations that are working to address food as a determinant of health across the state to share information, network, and explore new partnerships.

The evolving healthcare landscape in New York State calls for institutional actors like community-based organizations, hospitals, government, and philanthropy to work together to create lasting impact on community health and promote health equity.

In addition to learning about innovative policies and practices from expert panelists, you will also have the opportunity to network with other organizations in your region and meet colleagues from across the state. This will be a great opportunity to build potential partnerships and promote better access to healthier food across our New York communities.

For more details on the convening and to have your representative register for the event, please visit our registration page. Please RSVP by Monday May 8 to be included in the attendee directory in the Convening Brochure.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact Kimberly Libman at klibman@nyam.org.
