Census Enumeration Among Hard-To-Count Older Adults
NYAM’s 2020 Census Toolkit provides helpful information to convey to older adults how the census works and why it is important, and promotes ways to ensure that hard-to-count older adult New Yorkers are counted. An accurate count of the older population is critical to ensure fair representation and funding for all New Yorkers. “Get Out the Count” is intended for professionals who regularly interact with older New Yorkers on a formal and informal basis, including those in aging service organizations, housing, healthcare and government.
