The Center for Healthy Aging brings people together to apply an aging lens to how they work and where they live.
Emerging Aging
Founded in 2012, EmergingAging NYC brings emerging professionals in aging together to learn about emerging trends and ideas in the field, network, and better lead other New Yorkers to serve older adults. We are dedicated to supporting emerging professionals from different disciplines, industries, and sectors through presentations, training, mentoring, and social events. EmergingAging NYC recently became a program of NYAM and is supported by The New York Community Trust.
Age Friendly Neighborhoods
NYAM established the “Age-friendly Neighborhoods” model in 2010 to develop targeted solutions to neighborhood-level issues and to support emerging grassroots efforts driven by older people to improve neighborhoods. Now with over ten years experience running Age-friendly NYC Neighborhood programs, our work is advancing age-friendly priorities through local planning and community and economic development by soliciting feedback from older New Yorkers and partnering with community leaders and organizations.
