Building healthy cities. Together.
There are a number of ways for individuals, foundations, corporations, and agencies to support the work of the Academy:
Donations to the Annual Fund provide critical general operating support for the Academy’s work conducted through the Institute for Urban Health, the Fellows, and the Library.
Name Your Seat in Hosack Hall
With a donation to the Name Your Seat Campaign, you have the opportunity to enjoy having your name, or that of another person you wish to honor, engraved on an elegant plaque placed on the arm of a theater seat in the Academy's Hosack Hall. Proceeds from your gift will help sustain and grow the Academy’s engaging roster of educational and cultural programs.
Ensuring an enduring legacy while providing critical support for specific Academy priorities are dual benefits of a gift of endowed funds. The Academy offers numerous endowed gift opportunities such as lectures and public programs, as well as professional positions in policy, research leadership, and library curation. Donors of endowed funds of $25,000 or more are recognized in the John Stearns Legacy Society.
The Academy’s giving societies offer donor recognition and opportunities to engage with Academy work and professional staff.
The President’s Society recognizes gifts over $1,000 and the John Stearns Society recognizes planned gifts and endowed fund gifts over $25,000.
For more than 100 years, the Academy has received critical support from foundations allowing the Academy to provide policy recommendations, conduct original research, and program evaluations, and develop and manage programming in support of improving population health.
Through special events such as the Academy’s Annual Gala and Fellows activities, we offer opportunities to private-sector and industry leaders to participate in furthering the Academy’s mission.
