care in the face of technological imperative, financial pressures, multiculturalism, politics and religious differences in a complex major teaching hospital. The panel will explore the challenges faced by clinical professionals, administrators, staff and patients as they experience the health care system.

Hospital unfolds the many variables at play in an institution that deals with people at their most vulnerable; an institution made up of hundreds of individuals, each of whom makes a difference, for better and sometimes for worse, and most of whom are unaware of what makes the entire place tick. The panel discussion will be moderated by Jo Ivey Boufford MD, president of The New York Academy of Medicine.
