NEW YORK CITY, March 4– The New York Academy of Medicine (NYAM) is proud to announce the creation of the Office of Board and Fellowship Activities. The new office will be directed by Rick Ziehler and Deputy Director Amy Kline. The office will work to engage the Fellows and Trustees in the activities of the Academy and provide them with a stronger connection and relationship to all that NYAM has to offer.
“I am really excited about the possibilities for this new office. We plan to work with Fellows to explore ways to create some new strategies for recruitment, to offer services more efficiently and to engage Fellows in the work of the Academy,” said Ziehler.
Since the Academy’s founding in 1847, Fellows have been important to the vibrancy and growth of the institution. They are a distinguished group of physicians, academicians and other health professionals and today are leaders in the fields of law, social work, nursing, education and research as well as health and medicine. NYAM currently has a membership of over 2000 Fellows.
