DEVELOPMENT
Philanthropic support from individuals, businesses, foundations and other organizations is the "life force" that makes NYAM what it is today—a non-profit independent organization that addresses health challenges facing the world’s urban populations

NYAM is a non-profit independent organization that addresses health challenges facing the world's urban populations.
Development staff work to align fundraising goals with NYAM planning. Our efforts move NYAM forward as we compile an inventory of financial needs, help to determine priorities, think about how scarce resources can best be spent, and give planning efforts potential and purpose.

We raise general operating support and funds for NYAM programs from individuals, foundations and corporations. In addition, we provide related services including prospect research, database management, gift recording and processing, accounting, special-events planning and oversight, and donor relations.

WAYS TO GIVE
NYAM has a longstanding tradition of honoring our donors for their exceptional support of our pioneering research and programs. We celebrate these individuals, foundations and corporations that allow us to excel in our work, and recognize our partnership with them in a variety of ways.

Individual Giving
You can help build NYAM's programs, research and policy agenda by giving to our Annual Fund. Donors who demonstrate an annual philanthropic commitment of $1,000 or more are honored by membership in NYAM's President’s Society. We would be happy to discuss estate or planned gifts that offer attractive tax incentives. For more information, please contact Lorraine LaHuta, Vice President of Development and Communications at (212) 822-7244 or by email at llahuta@nyam.org.
