The Edwin Beer Research Fellowship seeks to increase the number of investigators in urology and urology-related fields by providing transitional funding in the form of two-year, $80,000 research grants. Candidates must hold an MD, PhD, or equivalent degree, must be under the mentorship of a senior researcher, and must commit at least fifty percent of their time to the research funded by the fellowship.

Bowen-Brooks Fellowship for Advanced Studies at Oxford University
The Bowen-Brooks Fellowship biannually offers a stipend of $50,000, plus tuition and a transportation allowance, to a physician who has recently completed residency in internal medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, or family practice, for one year of advanced health care study at the Oxford University Programme in Evidence-Based Healthcare, in affiliation with Green College, Oxford University and the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, England.
The Bowen-Brooks Fellowship program has been temporarily suspended during Oxford University's reorganization of the Programme in Evidence-Based Healthcare. Please check back in 2008 for updated information on the program.
Gladys Brooks Book and Paper Conservation Internship
This two to three month internship provides an opportunity for advanced training in book and paper conservation.

Elsberg Fellowship in Neurological Surgery is a one-year, $50,000 grant which is awarded for research by an individual who has completed an accredited neurological surgery residency program, who intends to use research training for continued development of an academic research career, and whose career direction suggests the need for transitional support pending eligibility for independent funding.

Glorney-Raisbeck Fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases
The Glorney-Raisbeck Fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases are one-year, $60,000 grants awarded for research by young physician scientists in supervised programs that will develop the candidate’s ability to perform independent clinical or laboratory research. The research must be conducted at institutions located in New York City, Long Island, or Westchester County, New York, and fellows must commit at least eighty percent of their time to the funded project.

The Mary and David Hoar Fellowship offers a two-year, $100,000 grant in support of clinical, epidemiologic and health services research in the prevention and treatment of hip fractures. Ferdinand C. Valentine Fellowship for Laboratory or Clinical Research in Urology
The Ferdinand C. Valentine Fellowship offers one-year, $50,000 fellowships in support of research by individuals who have completed, or will shortly complete, residency training acceptable to the American Board of Urology, and who intend to pursue academic research careers in urology. Fellows must commit no less than fifty percent of their time to the supported research and preference is given to investigators conducting their research at institutions in the greater New York area.
