Chief Medical Officer, Solera Health

Dr. Scott Breidbart's career spans clinical practice, medical management, and public health promotion. He is the Chief Medical Officer of Solera Health.  Before that position, he had an almost 20 year career in managed care, most recently as the Chief Clinical Officer at EmblemHealth.  He was previously the Chief Medical Officer at Empire BlueCross BlueShield, and before that, he held various positions at Health Net. His responsibilities have included oversight of all clinical areas, including all aspects of local medical management, clinical interface with strategic external groups, disease management, pay for performance programs, and other medical informatics programs.
 
In addition to his work in managed care, Dr. Breidbart has been a liaison member of the National Vaccine Advisory Committee, a member of the Consultation Group for the CDC's Systematic Review of Strategies to Increase Health Systems Referrals Project, and a member of the Senior Advisory Board for the Collaboration for Advancing Pediatric Quality Measures.
 
Prior to joining Health Net, Dr. Breidbart practiced pediatric endocrinology for 10 years at New York Medical College. He attended medical school at Columbia University, trained in pediatrics at Babies Hospital with a chief residency at Westchester Medical Center, and did his fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
 
He has been an invited speaker at symposiums and conferences, and has contributed to journal articles and book chapters.
