Is it necessary to pre-register for Academy-sponsored events?

Yes. Seating is limited and we ask you to pre-register for all events. You may pre-register online (www.nyam.org/events) or print a copy of the registration page and fax it to 212-987-4735. Payment for fee events is due at the time of registration.

Are Fellows of the Academy and students charged to attend fee events?

Yes. Fellows and students are extended a reduced rate for fee events. Your registration fees help defray costs for program development, event materials, food and beverage, staffing, etc.

How can I learn more about upcoming events?

Please visit our website frequently (www.nyam.org). Event listings are updated weekly and as new information is posted. To learn more about a specific event please call or email the contact person listed on the event description. You may also send your inquiry for more information to meded@nyam.org

Are Academy-sponsored events open to the public?

Academy events are open to the public unless otherwise specified.

Is parking available at the Academy?

The Academy parking lot on East 103rd Street is available for event attendees after 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and on weekends when there is an event. The lot is not available to events attendees before 6:00 PM weekdays. The Academy assumes no responsibility for any vehicles parked in this lot. Please call the Office of Education and Conference Center (212-822-7235) to obtain information on local parking options.

My organization is interested in holding an event at the Academy. Does the Academy rent function space?

Yes, function space can be rented pending availability. Please visit http://www.nyam.org/about/conference.shtml for more information or contact Donald Morcone, Director, Office of Education and Conference Center at 212-822-7272.
