Rick Ziehler is the "founding" Director of a new Office of Trustee and Fellowship Affairs. Mr. Ziehler comes to NYAM after thirteen years at the College Board, the last six of which he spent as Director of Membership serving as main staff liaison to the Board of Trustees on membership strategy, recruitment, retention and policy. In that capacity he managed day to day operations of member services and worked hard to get members involved and keep them informed. He hopes to continue that work for Fellows of the Academy. Before the College Board, Mr. Ziehler worked as an Information Technology professional for Showtime Networks and financial firms such as Chase Bank; Drexel, Burnham, Lambert; and Merrill Lynch.

Mr. Ziehleris a life-long learner, with a BA in English from Dartmouth College and masters degrees from Hunter College and NYU in English and American literature. His current projects include working on an online MBA and studying French literature at Alliance Française. He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives. His office is located on the 6th Floor of the Academy, Room 614 and is always open to Fellows visiting the Academy, staff and Board members.
