Victoria Frye

Frye Victoria Frye is an Adjunct Investigator at the Center for Urban Epidemiologic Studies of the New York Academy of Medicine and an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Hunter College Urban Public Health Program, City University of New York. Dr. Frye's work combines epidemiological and social science theories and methods to study the population distribution, determinants and health consequences of two overlapping public health problems: intimate partner violence and HIV/AIDS. Currently, Dr. Frye is the Academy site Principal Investigator on a CDC-funded, HIV prevention intervention for heterosexual, African-American men. While at the Academy, Dr. Frye received a five-year career development award from the National Institute of Drug Abuse to study the role of sociostructural neighborhood factors in partner violence, drug use and HIV risk, among urban women.
